Lyceum NorthWestern University - Medical College

Lyceum NorthWestern University Medical college was founded on 1969. It started as single room nursing school at the Dagupan city, Philipines. In 1974, Northern Educational Institution was acquired and from the merger emerged the name Lyceum NorthWestern. It established the first medical school of the north in 1975.

Lyceum North Western University Medical College campus is located at the City of Dagupan which is 200 kms north of Manila. There are five bus lines that connect this city to and from Manila, the capital of the country. Dagupan City is a first class city in the Philippines as it is the major financial and commercial center north of Manila and it has wonderful beaches and colorful festivals.

Course Curriculum
The four year medical course at Medical college of Lyceum NorthWestern University generally progresses from the study of the normal to the abnormal human being. Most of the subjects are yearly courses which are taken up for two semesters.

The course covers the normal Human Anatomy, Psychiatry, Community health, Parasitology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Preventive Medicine, Biochemistry, Medical Practice. Course includes Class lectures, laboratory work and group discussions followed by clinical rotation in medical centres during which students will get a chance to treat patients under the guidance of senior doctors.
